How Pasta Works



The Greek Pasta Pie



⧫ The ingredients:
  1. One and a half cups of jam (for filling).
  2. A cup of butter at room temperature (200 grams) or a glass of vegetable oil.
  3. A tablespoon of orange or lemon juice.
  4. One-third cup of sugar.
  5. Two eggs.
  6. Three tablespoons of water.
  7. Three cups of white flour.
  8. Three teaspoons of paking powder.  
⧫How to prepare:
  • Pour the flour with the baking powder, then butter the butter with orange and sugar, until the mixture becomes creamy.
  • Add the egg one by one to the flour mixture with water.
  • Stir the ingredients until you get a firm paste, but be careful to increase the kneading, cover the dough and leave it for half an hour.
  • Heat the oven at a temperature of one hundred and seventy-five.
  • Remove two-thirds of the dough in the pie tray, then add the amount of jam in it evenly.
  • Remove the remaining dough and cut it into strips lengthwise. Decorate the dough with slices of dough in the form of interlocking squares. 
  • Put the Chinese in the oven for thirty minutes, or until it browns.
  • Remove the tray from the oven and leave it for 1 hour. 
       
  Pasta with apricot jam

 ⧫The ingredients
  1. Two hundred and fifty grams of butter. 
  2. One hundred and twenty-five grams of powdered sugar. 
  3.  Small spoon of salt.
  4.  A teaspoon of orange peel.
  5.  Two eggs.
  6.  A teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  7. Five hundred grams of flour.
  8. A teaspoon of paking powder.
  9. Three hundred grams of apricot jam.


How to prepare:
  •  Place the butter, sugar and salt in the electric mixer bowl, then whisk the ingredients until they become creamy, then add the eggs and continue stirring.  
  •  Add the flour gradually until you get a smooth, soft paste.
  •  Raise two-thirds of the dough in a pancake tray, or a pirax tray, then jam the mixture, then add the remaining dough and cut it into slices and arrange it over the pie in squares.
  • Put the Chinese in a hot oven at a temperature of one hundred and eighty until browned the bottom of the pie and its edges, make the grill and pomegranate. 
  • Remove the tray from the oven and leave it aside for half an hour and then put it on.
